Service Instructions

CAUTION:  Remove spark plug wire before servicing cutting head!

TO INSTALL FRESH TRIMMER LINE:

1.  Remove the knob and spring from the bottom of the head by turning to the right (Clockwise). Then grip the housing with your fingers and at the same time grip the innnerspool with your other hand and pull innerspool to remove (Fig. 1)

2.  Once removed, take two equal amounts of cutting line (refer to innerspool capacity under CUTTING LINE) and push ends through two small holes in innerspool in the opposite direction of the arrows.

3.  Following arrows on top of innerspool, bend over the line and wind in the direction of the arrows. DO NOT TWIST CUTTING LINE WHILE WINDING AND DO NOT OVERFILL INNNERSPOOL.

4.  Use line locks to secure line in the innerspool (Fig. 2). Push one end of line through eyelet in housing and then the other through the other side. Then by pushing the innerspool back into the housing and pulling line through eyelets, reinstall innerspool back into housing.

5.  Reinstall spring and knob and tighten securely.

6.  Reinstall spark plug wire.

TO FEED NEW CUTTING LINE:
Be sure engine is stopped, before feeding new line.
Pull down innerspool and turn to the left to feed more line.
Every pin and notch equals approx. 1 inch of new line.

CAUTION  Do not over advance cutting line because it could damage the trimmer and engine.

NOTE: The pins on the back of the innerspool allow head to feed cutting line.
